MASTER’S MESSAGE

Brethren

                I want to take this opportunity to thank you for electing me Worshipful Master of the ensuing Masonic Year.  It was 50 years ago that I had that honor bestowed on me in Haledon Lodge # 169.  I also want to thank RW Frank Nemeth, RW Charles Hashagen, RW John Hoc, and WB Donald Bowers for the fine manner in which they did the Installation.  I conclusion, I want to wish each of you and your family a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

FROM THE EAST

My Brother,

                Please consider this:

                                I think that I shall never see
                                A Lodge that’s all it aught to be:
                                A Lodge whose members never stray
                                Beyond the straight and narrow way;
                                A Lodge that has no empty seats
                                Whose Master never has to seek;
                                A Lodge whose members always speak
                                And none is proud and all are meek;
                                Such perfect Lodges there may be
                                But none of them are known to me;
                                But still we’ll work and pray and plan
                                To make our own the best we can.

            Brethren this was taken from a Church Bulletin with
            some word changes.  I hope we all strive to make our
            Lodge the very best we can.

 Fraternally,
Richard W. Burton
Worshipful Master
